I am currently a Ph.D. candidate of the department of Computer Science & Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. My primary interests include Computer Vision, Image Processing, Stack Filters, and Fuzzy Applications. Before coming to US, I worked with fuzzy system and neural network lab, conducted by Dr. Pao-Ta Yu, in CSIE at National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. In 1995, I joined Computer Vision Group, conducted by Dr. Rangachar Kasturi, and worked on document image analysis and processing. I enjoy traveling a lot, especially by means of camping. Although my camping experience is not abundant, I just love the fresh air, outdoor cooking, friendly neighbors, and, particularly, lower price, though sometimes unfamiliar environment yields a little bit scary feeling. I am a Christian. I am now subscribing "Verse of the Day" sent by email with no charge. To subscribe, send your request to list-request@316csi.com with "SUBSCRIBE votd" as your message; to unsubscribe, sent to the same address with "UNSUBSCRIBE votd" as your message. If you would like to access to related Web sites, Mr. Rong-Chii Duh has a comprehensive collection. Besides, there are always some interesting stuff in my mind. I am not really familiar with them, but I know someday I'll get through all of them (however, this will has been made for a long time.) It seems to me I am always a novice to LaTex, so I have a note to remind me of its major usages (its Tex form is also available.) Java (or Java-Linux) is another topic. TIFF, Motif, and X Windows are hot stuff I hope to get into yet. |
