-- separate connected objects
- purpose:
- Separate two large objects connected by a ``tube'' having
diameter less than the specified number of voxels. The operation
can be done in 2-D or 3-D. The input need not be binary valued
(all voxels having gray-scale values >0 are treated
as being a part of some object), but the output will be.
- input:
- An 8-bit volume.
- output:
- An 8-bit volume, containing binary-valued objects.
- parameters:
- Default parameters menu is
connectivity = no
3-D; 2-D
* smallest isthmus diameter = 7
* input from vol # = 0
* copy output to vol # = 0
*
- comments:
-
- This can be a slow operation if the specified diameter is
large.
